An invigorating exploration balancing strength and flexibility Unleash Your Potential An invigorating exploration, balancing awareness, strength, and flexibility. Most of us come to Yoga to change some aspect of our lives. However, if we “do” Yoga like we do everything else, we are bound to fail. What we’re looking for is not out there. To be effective, our Yoga must be practiced from the inside-out.

Yoga philosophy is crystal clear: the seeds for any change we desire, already reside within us. This dormant energy is Nataraja, Shiva as the cosmic dancer – the power to transform ourselves, and unleash our potential.

Are you tired enough of who you used to be? Through the practices of Asana, Mantra, and Mudra, we’ll leave nothing to chance, learning how each breath, in every posture, can become invocation, a powerful catalyst – clearing the way for transformation.

The cage door swings open, and we are free. We had the key all along. A perfect blend of Body, Mind and Spirit, you’ll leave with finely-honed tools for transformation that you can apply right away. Bring an open mind, and reveal the yearning heart of a true Yoga Warrior.

Sunday April 5’th 10am-Noon Yoga Spot Wellesly Hills Space is limited, registration requested.  Your tuition is $27 in advance Advance registration is strongly encouraged, drop-ins allowed if space permits. Email, or call 508-254-4530 to signup

Yoga Retreats With John

Revitalize your body, mind and spirit

By popular demand, In Fall of 2010 we’ll return back to SpiritFire for three days of yoga and relaxation, More than retreat, this is an immersion in our practice, in the study of what matters most to us, and how we can live more at ease in our world.  We take this awareness home to our lives, to our family and communities.
(Just a couple spots left, email me right away….)

immersed in 95 acres of

peak foliage, meadows and streams

(That’s more than 6 acres of space per person!)

October 1 ~ 3, and 15-17 at the beautiful Spirit Fire retreat
Leyden, Massachusetts

A good balance of daily practices and free-time

Delicious, organic, locally-grown vegetarian meals
Optional hikes, evening fires, films and discussions
For those who are returning I don’t need to say anything about SpiritFire, except maybe Donna’s commitment to continually refine how they do everything, relying on feedback from guests and teachers.
For those of you new to Spirit Fire, you’re in for a treat.  We’ve got a new gourmet chef on board.  Hard to believe, but the food has gotten even better!
I’ve been all-over for retreats and have been best cared for right here in our own backyard at Spirit Fire
Spiritfire is expansive in acreage, with beautiful rolling meadows and forest. But they can only accommodate a set number of guests. With about a dozen or so of us, the retreats here are much smaller than most being offered. People get to know each other, though with 95 acres, there is also tremendous space for alone-time and serene walks.
The rooms are new and very comfortable. The food is mostly local, and just amazing. Everything is taken care of for us, and we can focus clearly on our practice.  The all-inclusive cost will be under $400
email John right away if you’d like to join us!

Smiletrain Yoga Benefit

I’m very excited about the Smiletrain benefit at Mystic Fitness on Saturday July 26th 5:30pm !!  Smiletrain performs surgeries on children born with cleft palates in developing countries. 100% of income directly funds surgeries.

We’re going to fill the room, and with 100% of this classes proceeds going to the charity,
we’re hoping to raise enough for at least two surgeries,  Imagine, by coming to class
you can change the lives for two children ?  and their families?
To take our Yoga to the next level, we must make space for it… we must get out of
the way.  The best way I’ve found to do this is to make an offering of the practice,
offer your practice up to a person, place, thing, or idea outside of yourself and see
your practice soar.  On this day we can make an unmeasurable difference.
Share the good Karma!!  Come support us in this noble effort, and please pass this invite along ?      Thanks so much to Amy and Mystic for donating the space !

My special guest class at Lulu Lemon was great!  Lulu Lemon makes yoga clothing.  thanks to all of you who came to practice at the Natick Collection Mall last Sunday!

This is a very physical process, yet don’t be daunted, This practice is suited for all levels. You’ll be encouraged to rest and modify when you need to. John is teaching at the New Hampshire Global Mala: Live Kirtan music will carry us through 108 Sun Salutations A flowing, purifying practice of dedication and meditation. This is a very physical process, yet don’t be daunted, This practice is suited for all levels. You’ll be encouraged to rest and modify when you need to. In book II.I of the Yoga Sutras Patanjali writes: Tapas Swadyaya IswarapranidadKriya Yoga ~ Tapas is our efforts, doing whatever it takes, the solvent that will dissolve our obstacles ~ Swadyaya is the courage to look within ourselves in the context of these teachings ~ IswaraPranidad is about making a sacred offering, a dedication of your efforts Kriya Yoga is a cleansing, a purification process. That’s what this is about, clearing about the old, to make room for the new. The 108 will be led in segments, so that you can join for as many as you’d like. We’ll keep it this simple: ~ Look within and make your commitment ~ Dedicate your practice, making it a sacred offering ~ Follow through with your best efforts This is the tested and true Yoga Science of Transformation. I look forward to seeing you there, and seeing the new you on the other side of our Kriya. -john p.s. why 108 Surya Namaskars?[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
