Sirius Community – Shutesbury, Massachusetts

I love Sirius Community, an easy 1.5 hour ride to a forested Shutesbury, MA. Close, yet surely off the beaten path.
A gem of a find….Sirius Community’s purpose dovetails with what we practice: Indiviuals gathering in community to support each others growth, while honoring our individual truths.
Sirius reflects sustainability, living in harmony with nature. They grow much of their own food year round, and build their own amazing solar-powered green buildings.
“Our weekend retreat was just perfect, the only thing I would change is to make it longer!”
You’ll love the outdoor pizza/bread oven, greenhouses, wood fired sauna, and walking labyrinth. After a few nights, I wanted to move in!
We’ll stay in tidy and comfortable rooms, join for fresh and healthy meals in the post and beam dining room – and gather for Yoga upstairs in the lofted-panoramic practice space.
Our daily schedule will be a good mix of yoga classes and free-time to explore the trails, buildings, and walk the set-stone meditation labyrinth that seems to sprout from the earth.
“Great group of people you had, I feel rejuvenated and back on track.”
Space is very limited, Please reserve your spot now. When we are full-up, I’ll start a short waitlist.
The all-inclusive cost for our Western Massachusetts Yoga retreat will be $410 with a $150 deposit holding your spot. (or get back to nature, campers rate will be $360)
To reserve a spot for our Spring 2012 Yoga Retreat please email me before sending your check for $150 to:

Yoga With John Spring Retreat May 20th-22nd 2011

I’m so looking forward to our retreat at Ananda Ashram, my home away from home! *We’re more than half full in the first day of signups.
Ananda is the Sanskrit word for bliss, and so adequately describes this sanctuary nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains in Monroe, NY. An easy ride out the Pike, and down Rt87. Even a short stay here bears much lasting fruit, the deep sense of calm comes back with us into our lives.
I’m working closely with Ananda to put together a great program for us. We will weave our Yoga classes in with the existing core program at the Ashram, where we’ll live like Yogis have lived for centuries.
If you’re just starting out with Yoga, or have been practicing for years, retreat at the Ashram will help bring you to that next level of understanding. If you’ve been on retreat with me before, we’ll have a similar schedule, with some additional options.
There will be a good mix of practice intermixed with free time to explore the Ashram and nature. You are free to partake of what calls to you, and leave the rest behind.
Mix with our community, sequester yourself for quiet time or visit the healing center for massage and other body treatments.
Mellow out, or take part in the hiking trails, canoeing, meditation, Yoga classes, fire ceremony, sanskrit classes, Kirtans.
Ashram is traditionally a place of tranquility to retreat to, to practice and reflect, this is a safe, nurturing place to explore and unfold. I’ve been coming to Ananda for many years, consider it my second home, and always count the days till I can return.
Ananda Ashram is in nature, quiet and comfortable, and you will love the abundant vegetarian meals.
You’ll have three options for sleeping, a double room, a dorm room (4-6 beds) or pitch a tent and sleep under the stars. Space is very limited, If you’re wanting to join us, it’s best to signup right away. The all-inclusive tuition costs are:
Camping $352
Dorm room $380
Double room $420
Just a few spots remain, and then We’ll form a short waitlist.
I’m sure you’ll not want to leave, if you can swing the time, I highly recommend staying an additional night or two, Ananda is such a great place to unplug into. Sunday, and midweek extra nights are inexpensive, and yes, you can decide once you’re there.
Here’s how to sign up: Click here to send me an email with your choice of rooms. Print out this registration form, and bring to a Yoga class, or mail your check to:
