My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find the majority of your post's to be exactly I'm looking for.
Do you offer guest writers to write content in your case?
I wouldn't mind creating a post or elaborating on many of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome web log!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4
year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off
topic but I had to tell someone!

Hello Rhiannon, First off, congrats on your graduation! and congrats on seeking yoga practice with
depth. Are you in the city, or out here in the burbs? and what was your major?

I have a few suggestions for you:

Some of the larger studios have community classes, I know that Karma Yoga in Harvard Square has
some great classes that are easy on the budget. Some studios have student rates, and may let you claim student status till you get established.

Find a studio you like and approach them with a work-study proposition. If you're serious about trading some of your time for Yoga classes, many studios would love a dependable person to help out in keeping the studio nice.

Find a teacher you resonate with and approach them about bartering. Do you have a skill that would help a busy Yoga teacher? Bookkeeping/taxes, graphic design for flyers/logos, housecleaning, copywriting for their website, petsitting, cooking... who knows what they might need help with. (I cleaned house, cooked, landscaped, and even brushed a dogs teeth in trade for yoga classes when I left engineering and was starting on this path)

Dive into your home practice, check out books and yoga dvd's from the library, find a few routines that can be your base practice, and spurge once a week on your favorite teacher's class. Ask them if you can record it, play it for inspiration.

Thanks for your great question Rhiannon. I love to hear when young people are interested in the inward journey of Yoga. I'm sure I'll think of more ideas and will make this a blog post. Please say hello if you stop in one of the classes I offer, the fist one's on me. -j

Hello,
I'm new to the area and am desperately searching for some sort of yoga/meditation class that focuses on both physical benefits as well as mental and spiritual restoration. The problem is that I'm on a very strict budget, having just graduated from college and I can't afford the $100+ class signups that I see everywhere. I considered drop-in classes, but that price ramps up very quickly, especially considering that I would like to go regularly. I try to do it by myself at home, or with a friend, but it really is not the same as being out with others in a set aside environment. Do you have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you!

John - Often, when I leave your Monday evening class, I feel ten feet tall, calmer then ever, and MAGIC! I just float out of your class - thanks SO much. Your class is what I look forward to the most each week, bless you.

hello,

the shorter wire usually hooks under the hook/crotch of the key to be able to pull it down,
the longer wires are to drive the hooked ones... does that make sense?

the easiest way to fix this is to take the strip of wood over the keys off,
take a pen and number the keys (write where it can't be seen...)

carefully remove all the keys and line them up next to you... then starting at the left, reinstall
the keys, hooking the short wire under the crotches... make sense? when you get up to the right side
you can often use a small screwdriver to tuck the wire under....

I wish you well.

Hi John,
i have a 42 key 31/2 octave Harmonium. Am trying to fix the coupler (right sided)can you please tell me how exactly the coupler's two metal strings attach at the base of the keys. There's a row of coupled pins on which the keys are attached, but at the very base of them all there are two metal strings the right side of these operates the coupler to be moved up and down to engage or disengage. I am not sure how the base strings that operate the coupler need to be seated. Can you please email the how to? I have been diving the Internet but to no avail on this issue. Thanks in advance.
